FRONT DOOR REFRESH TIPS
Y’all it’s time!! Spring has sprung and so has have my allergies! It’s time to give our homes a cleaning and a refresh! Who’s in?!
I know, I know, the last thing you want to do is start cleaning on a gorgeous day off, but if you do some of these quick tips you can get ahead of the game and not feel like you’re stuck cleaning your blinds when you want to be at brunch!
FRONT DOOR QUICK CLEAN TIPS:
Literally start at the front door and work your way in! I sweep my entryway outside the door and hose it down if that’s an option to you. Hose off your front door mat and I always sweep both sides BEFORE I hose it to get our extra winter dirt and dust. Wipe down all your planters and replace any dead plants or cracked pots that didn’t make it through the winter. Give your front door a good wipe down with with soapy warm water. I know I’m a bigger germaphobe that most people I like to wipe down the door knobs weekly with antibacterial wipes! (yes, I am that person!)
HOSE OFF OR SWEEP OFF THE ENTRYWAY REMOVE EVERYTHING AND START WITH A CLEAN SLATE.
SWEEP ALL COBWEBS OR ANY DEBRIS FROM ALL LIGHTING FIXTURES WITH WARM SOAPY WATER.
CLEAN AND WIPE DOWN ALL PLANTERS AND POTS. THROW OUT ANYTHING THAT DIDN’T MAKE IT THROUGH THE WINTER MONTHS.
CHECK FOR ANY DINGS OR SCUFFS ON YOUR FRONT DOOR AND USE A MAGIC ERASER SPONGE TO WIPE AWAY ALL THE BIG ONES AND IF YOU HAVE TOUCH UP PAINT FOR YOUR DOOR DO A QUICK DRY BRUSH TO ANY WORN SPOTS.
BRIGHTEN UP THE PLANTERS BY PULLING OFF ALL DEAD LEAVES OR WITH FRESH PLANTS.
